Andhra Pradesh Clears 7 Projects, Including 5 Electronics Manufacturing Units
The Wingtech Mobile Communications (India) Pvt Ltd plans to set up electronics manufacturing unit in Tirupati at a cost of ₹1031.07 crore
The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday cleared seven projects to be set up in the State at an investment of Rs 2,840.99 crore.
As reported by Hindu, the SIPB meeting was held at Naidu’s residence in Amaravati. The projects cleared by the SIPB include five electronics manufacturing units to be set up in different parts of the state.
Three companies – Walsin Electronic India Pvt Ltd, GM Modular Pvt Ltd and Wingtech Mobile Communications (India) Pvt Ltd – are planning to set up electronics manufacturing units in Tirupati with the proposed investments of ₹734.47 crore, ₹133.65 crore and ₹1031.07 crore respectively.
The three projects together are expected to provide employment to over 13,000 people.
Other projects cleared by the SIPB
The other projects include an electronics manufacturing unit in Sri city, Chittoor, to set up by Tecchren Batteries with an investment of ₹445.86 crore. It is estimated to create 200 new jobs.
Meanwhile, Veer O Metals Pvt Ltd has proposed to set up electronics manufacturing unit at Gudipalle in Anantapur district with an investment of ₹41.94 crore to provide employment to 240 people.
The Indus Coffee Ltd would be setting up a freezer dried coffee unit for export purposes at SEZ, Naidupet, at a cost of ₹304 crore, providing jobs to 300 people.
