SPECIAL
OFFER FOR CEHA MEMBERS [CEAMA, ELCINA, ISA, MAIT,
TEMA]
Dear Sir/ Madam,
ELCINA Center for
Knowledge Management is organizing Workshop on Reliability Testing of Electronic / Electrical Components
& Equipments (A Necessity for OEM Business
& Submission of Tenders) on 20th August, 2010 in ELCINA
House, New Delhi.
Introduction
Reliability testing of
electronic / electrical components and products is essential for
marketing these items. Reliability tests involve comprehensive
testing for all electrical & mechanical parameters, as well as
environmental parameters. This workshop will explain in detail the
requirements and process for doing tests and also the acceptance
testing which is required to be conducted repeatedly to ensure
quality, performance and customer satisfaction.
Reliability may be defined
in several ways including ability of a device to perform a required
function under stated conditions for a specified period of time, its
capacity to perform as designed, resistance to failure and also the
ability of something to “fail well” (fail without catastrophic
consequences). Many engineering techniques are used to predict
reliability and one of these is reliability testing and accelerated
life testing. This workshop is intended to give an overview of
reliability testing.
The purpose of reliability
testing is to discover potential problems with the design as early
as possible and ultimately provide confidence that the system meets
its reliability requirements. This can be performed at component
level as well as for a circuit based unit, assembly, and the system
levels.
