Complimentary Workshop for Electronics,

Dear Sir/ Madam,
ELCINA - Centre for
Knowledge Management (ELCINA-CKM) & Sustainability Support
Services (Europe) AB, (SSS) Jointly announce Workshop on Capacity
Building and Awareness on REACH and ErP - Regulatory Requirements
for Exports to European Union.
Introduction
REACH impacts the exports of
electrical and electronic components to Europe within the
“substances in articles” category; wherein certain substances of
very high concern (SVHC) should not be present above the threshold
of 0.1%wt/wt in the articles.
ErP (Energy Related Products)
regulation requires the implementation of eco-design measures while
manufacturing the products in order to be compliant with the ErP
regulation.
The above are complex EU
regulations and compliance is already mandatory for REACH and will
become mandatory for ErP in near future. In order to create more
awareness pertaining to the above regulations and to build capacity
of the Indian exporters in terms of awareness of their obligations
and the compliance measures to be put in place, ELCINA in
association with Sustainability Support Services (Europe) AB, SSS is
planning to organize a series of capacity building & awareness
workshops in four cities.
