ELCINA-Centre for Knowledge Management (CKM) announce Workshop on "EOHS – Legal Requirements & Compliance – Environment, Occupational Health & Safety-Standard ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2004 & OHSAS on 3rd & 4th May, 2010, in  ELCINA House, New Delhi.

 

Background

Legal compliance under environmental, health and safety requirements is becoming increasingly important today for corporate entities, Government, NGO’s and the public at large. The Legal regime for these subjects has become increasingly complex and fast changing. Lack of knowledge on these legal requirements in many organizations is leading to litigation and punitive measures by the regulatory bodies. Inadequate information flow to shop floors on compliance requirements is leading to violations of many laws.

Apart from waste based environmental laws, now regulations are coming for product specific environmental regulations. ELV and ROHS regulations are few to mention. With the increasing utilization of IT infrastructure, concepts of e-waste management gaining focus in the country.

Similarly the safety and health of people working on the shop floor is of prime concern to managements today. Accidents due to negligence not only cause disturbance to routine production activities but also have significant legal implications.

The program is designed with course exercises to identify legal compliance issue enable preparation of legal requirements and also provide an overview of medical examinations in organizations depending on various processes adopted by them

·          CDM  projects –Koyoto protocol – benefits to industries

Mr.  Raju P.V., Qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and SA 8000, having professional experience of 10 years in Pollution Control Board and another 10 years of experience in Management System Assessments.  He has performed more than 1000 audits across the globe in 12 countries.  Educational Qualification, B. Tech (Civil Engineering with specialization in Environment) Industry strength – includes Engineering and Electronics.

Non-Members                      :  Rs.5000/- per participant (Rs. 5515/- incl Service Tax)

(Service Tax 10.30% extra)
