ELCINA Delegation to China
China, the fourth largest country in the world with more than a sixth of the worlds’ population, now famously known as the ‘Factory of the World,’ was an inevitable destination for a delegation from ELCINA. After successfully completing visits to other South East Asian countries (including Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & Hong-Kong) it was felt that we were now ready to take a closer look at the giant.

ELCINA Delegation to Munich, Paris & Madrid during November 14-24, 2006
ELCINA successfully organized a 12-Member Delegation to Munich, Paris and Madrid during November 14-24, 2006, coinciding with Electronica 2006 in Munich from Nov.14-17, 2007. ELCINA also organized a joint display of product catalogues/samples of 11 member-companies in its two stalls at CBI pavilion during Electronica 2006, when an MOU was signed between ELCINA and ZVEI (The German Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association) to promote cooperation between electronics manufacturers in the two countries. Apart from witnessing Electronica Exhibition, the Delegation Members visited the plant of F&K Delvotec in Munich, which is a very well established global company manufacturing Wire and Die Bonders used in high precision electronics manufacturing. The delegates also met members of the VBW (Bavarian Industries Association) in Munich and made an effective presentation on the investment opportunities India offered in Electronics. In Paris, ELCINA Delegation Members had a very useful interaction with French companies represented by GIXEL.
ELCINA Delegation to Taipei and Seoul during April, 2007
After the successful visit of the ELCINA delegation to Electronica 2006 - Munich, Paris and Madrid - during November, 2006, it is proposed to organize a delegation to Taipei and Seoul from 3rd to 10th April, 2007. The visit would coincide with AutoTronics 2007 Exhibition scheduled in Taipei during April 2-5, 2007. This would be a good opportunity for members to witness the above Fair and to explore business opportunities in Taiwan and Korea.
ELCINA's participation in electronica 2006, the world's leading trade show for the electronics industry, from 14 to 17th November 2006 at New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany was significant as this was the first time that member companies displayed samples and shared stalls at this Show. The participation was facilitated through CBI, Netherlands under the EDP Program. CBI's EDP program has benefited a number of ELCINA members by introducing them to the EU market for electronic components and training them on how to successfully export to EU countries.
A total of eleven ELCINA members shared 27 sq.m. of exhibition space in two stands in the CBI pavilions, the cost of which was subsidized by CBI.

Members displayed their catalogues and samples and interacted with .business visitors. The participation was overall satisfactory as the exhibition drew a large number of electronics professionals among the attendees. The co-exhibitors got a first hand experience and enabled them to prepare for full-fledged participation in the next event in 2008.
ELCINA signs an MOU with ZVEI
ELCINA's presence in electronica 2006 was more significant as an MOU was signed between ELCINA and ZVEI (The German Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association) which would go a long way in promoting cooperation between electronics manufacturers in the two countries. ZVEI has considerable reach throughout Germany and even in other countries of Europe and ELCINA was sure of considerable benefits from this association.
Factory Visit to F&K DELVOTEC and Meeting with the VBW (Bavarian Industries Association)
The ELCINA Delegation visited the F&K Delvotec factory site during electronica. Delvotec is a very well-established global company manufacturing Wire and Die Bonders used in high precision electronics manufacturing. The delegates also met members of the VBW (Bavarian Industries Association) in Munich and made an effective presentation on the investment opportunities India offered in electronics.
