ELCINA is the first Association to institute annual awards since 1976 for Excellence in Electronics. The ELCINA - Dun & Bradstreet Awards for Excellence in Electronics Hardware Manufacturing and Services 2006-07 are meant to recognise the achievements of electronics/I.T. manufacturing companies in India.

WINNERS OF ELCINA-DUN & BRADSTREET AWARDS FOR 2008-09

The ELCINA Awards were instituted in 1976 to recognise excellence in electronics hardware manufacturing, the first by any organisation in India for this industry. Initially, the categories of ELCINA Awards included Export, R&D, Import Substitution, Indigenisation of Capital Goods and Electronics Man of the Year. Over time with changing business focus, the Import Substitution and Indigenisation of Capital Goods Awards were dropped, while Quality, Environment Management, and Business Excellence were added. This year a new Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence has been introduced to recognize the trait which is essential for growth of any industry.

Three decades after establishing the Awards for Excellence, ELCINA joined hands with Dun & Bradstreet India (D&B) as a Knowledge Partner in 2007 to announce the “ELCINA – DUN & BRADSTREET AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN ELECTRONICS”. The partnership seeks to encourage further development of the electronics hardware industry in India.

ELCINA-Dun & Bradstreet Awards for 2008-09

The ELCINA-Dun & Bradstreet Awards for Excellence in Electronics Hardware Manufacturing & Services for 2008-09 were given away to the winners during the 34th Annual Presentation Ceremony at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The Awards were presented by the Chief Guest Shri R Chandrashekhar, Secretary Department of IT and the Guest of Honour Shri Rakesh Singh who is the Additional Secretary. The awards consist of a trophy and a citation.

The awards ceremony was attended by senior government officials, Members of ELCINA, representatives of D&B and captains of industry in large numbers.
